Chicken Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 small size Red Onion Finely Diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic Grated
  • ½ cup Red Bell Peppers Sliced
  • ½ cup Green Bell Peppers Sliced
  • 2 cups Shredded Chicken boiled
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • ½ tsp Cumin Powder
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • ½ tsp Chili Flakes
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Coriander chopped
  • 2 sliced Bread
  • 2 tsp Butter
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Instructions

Cook the Sandwich Filling

  • Put olive oil in a pan and set the heat to medium-high.
  • Add the red onion and sauté for a few seconds.
  • Add 3 cloves of grated garlic to the sauteed onion and cook until it becomes fragrant.
  • Add the green bell peppers and red bell peppers, and cook until they become tender.

Add the Chicken and Seasonings

  • Boil chicken breasts or thighs, and shred them.
  • Add the chicken shreds to the sauteed vegetables.
  • Now, add tomato paste, cumin powder, chili flakes, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Cook the filling for about 1 to 2 more minutes.
  • Add the coriander and cook for a few seconds.

Prepare the Sandwich

  • Take 2 slices of bread for each sandwich.
  • Spread about 2 teaspoons of butter on each bread slice.
  • Transfer the chicken sandwich filling to one piece of bread evenly.
  • Add shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the filling evenly.
  • Put the other piece of bread on top of the cheese.

Toast the Bread

  • Put a pan on the stovetop and set the heat to medium.
  • Toast the sandwich until both sides turn golden brown.
  • Serve and enjoy.
