- ½ tsp / 3 g Salt
- ¾ cup / 170 g Unsalted Butter softened to room temperature
- ¾ cup / 150 g Granulated Sugar

- 1 cup / 180 g Chocolate Chips
Prepare The Oven and Baking Pan
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium mixing bowl, add the all-purpose flour and baking powder.
Sprinkle in salt and give everything a quick mix. Set the bowl aside.
Prepare Wet Ingredients
Grab a large mixing bowl and add softened butter and sugar to it.
Using a handheld or stand mixer, beat the butter and sugar together on medium-high speed for about 2-3 minutes or until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
Crack the eggs into the mix and add vanilla essence.
And beat again for 1 minute or until combined.
Alternate Buttermilk and Dry Mix
Use a spatula, or turn the mixer to low speed and gradually add the dry ingredients and buttermilk in alternation.
Mix between each addition until just combined.
Fold the chocolate chips into the batter with a spatula.
Bake, Cool, and Serve
Pour and spread the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake it in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool for at least 15-20 minutes before removing it from the pan.
Place the cake on a wire rack and allow it to cool completely to room temperature.
Serve plain or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top.
