Creamy Avocado Sauce Recipe

This creamy avocado sauce is terrific on nachos, tacos, and whatever’s on your plate! With its pop of citrus and fresh herbs, it’s ridiculously easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 2 Ripe Avocados
  • ¼ cup Greek Yogurt or Sour Cream
  • ¼ cup Cilantro
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice/ Lime Juice
  • 1 small Garlic Clove
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

Combine All Ingredients

  • In a food processor or in a medium mixing bowl, toss together the avocados, yogurt/sour cream, coriander/cilantro, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Now blend them until smooth for a creamier texture.
  • Alternatively, you can use a use a fork or potato masher to mash all the ingredients until well combined.

Adjust Seasoning and Flavor

  • Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt, pepper, and a touch of lemon juice if needed.
  • Adjust the consistency with a bit of water for dipping or drizzling.

Stir, Serve, and Store

  • Give the sauce a final stir so everything is well combined.
  • Serve and store the leftover avocado sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 days.
