Easy Teriyaki Chicken Recipe – Ready in 15 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 600 gm Boneless Chicken Breast
  • ¼ tsp / 1.5 g Salt
  • 2 tbsp / 30 ml Vegetable Oil

Teriyaki Sauce:

  • ¼ cup / 60 ml Soy Sauce low- sodium
  • ¼ cup / 60 ml Water
  • 3 tbsp / 36 g Brown Sugar Honey
  • 2 tsp / 4 g Cornstarch
  • 2 tsp / 10 ml Rice Vinegar White Wine Vinegar
  • ½ tsp / 3 ml Sesame Oil
  • 2 tsp / 6 g Garlic minced
  • 2 tsp / 4 g Ginger minced

For Garnish:

  • Sesame Seeds

Instructions

Make the Teriyaki Sauce

  • Add the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, rice vinegar, cornstarch, and sesame oil into a bowl and give it a good mix.

Cook the Chicken

  • Place 600 grams of cubes of boneless chicken breast in a bowl
  • Add salt and give it a good mix.
  • Sprinkle a tablespoon of vegetable oil on the stovetop on medium heat.
  • Add the chicken and cook each side for 3-4 minutes.
  • Set the chicken aside.

Sauté the Aromatics & Add the Sauce

  • Add vegetable oil to the same pan on medium heat.
  • Sauté minced garlic and ginger in the pan.
  • Add the teriyaki sauce and cook it until it thickens.

Thicken, Serve & Enjoy

  • When the sauce has thickened, add the chicken.
  • Cook the chicken in the sauce for another 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy.
