  • ½ cup melted Unsalted Butter
  • cup Milk
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence

Instructions

Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Pan

  • Preheat your oven to 320°F or 160°C.
  • Now, take a 9x5-inch loaf pan and cover the bottom with a parchment paper or a baking sheet as needed.

Mix the Dry Ingredients

  • Take a bowl and add your all-purpose flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, and grated nutmeg, and sift all of the dry ingredients before giving them a thorough mix.
  • Prepare the Wet Ingredients
  • Now, take another bowl and add your melted unsalted butter, sugar, brown sugar, 2 large eggs, and whisk everything until they are combined well.
  • Add your cooked and mashed sweet potatoes to the mix.
  • Add a teaspoon of vanilla essence and mix well.

Combine the Wet and Dry

  • Now, add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well until all dry patches of flour are gone, and there are no lumps in the batter.
  • This is the time when you add your walnuts and fold them into the batter.

Bake, Cool, and Serve!

  • Pour the batter into your 9x5-inch loaf pan lined with a baking sheet.
  • Top the batter with more toasted walnuts and put it in the oven.
  • Bake the loaf for about 60 to 65 minutes.
  • When it’s done, take it out of the oven and let it cool at room temperature.
  • When it has cooled down a bit, remove it from the pan and let it cool completely.
  • Now, slice, serve, and enjoy!
