2 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse

2 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse Recipe In 15 Minutes

Chocolate mousse is a soft prepared sweet dish. It normally has a smooth, light and airy texture and that is created by whipping the cream or egg whites which incorporates lots of air bubbles and make the mousse light. But depending on the way of making the texture of the mousse can vary from light and airy to thick and creamy. In this video, I’ve shared the recipe for slightly thick and creamy chocolate mousse.

Ingredients

  • 200 Grams / 200 Grams Semi-sweet dark chocolate
  • 400 ml / 400 ml Whipping cream

Instructions

  • Chop the dark chocolate finely and transfer it into a large mixing bowl.
  • Boil water in a saucepan (large enough to fit the mixing bowl) place the mixing bowl on top of the saucepan and melt the chocolate. (This technique is known as the double boiler method).
  • Once the chocolate has melted pour 100 ml of whipping cream on top of it (make sure that cream is at room temperature and not cold, as it might lead to the bowl breaking into pieces)
  • Give this a good mix using a spatula and set it aside.
  • Next, add the leftover whipped cream into a large mixing bowl and whisk until soft peaks form.
  • Now add 2-3 tablespoons of the prepared chocolate mixture into the whipping cream and whisk it well.
  • Repeat this process until all of the chocolate is used.

Serving (Optional)

  • Transfer the prepared mousse into a piping bag and fill it into any fancy glasses of your choice.
  • Additionally, you can also, sprinkle some chocolate shreddings on top, to make it look more appealing.
  • Serve the prepared Mousse immediately, or refrigerate for 2-3 hours for an enhanced experience.
