Ingredients

  • 500 Grams Potato Medium size
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • ½ tsp Cumin Powder
  • ½ tsp Chaat Masala Powder Optional
  • ½ tsp Garlic Ginger Paste
  • 2 Medium Egg
  • 4 Tbsp mozzarella Cheese
  • 1.5 tbsp Oil

Toppings

  • 2 tbsp Red Capsicum Thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp Green Capsicum Thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Red Onion Thinly sliced
  • ½ cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • ½ tsp Oregano
  • 4-5 Pieces Basil Leaves

Instructions

  • Firstly, wash and peel 3 medium-sized potatoes, if desired. Using a sharp knife or mandoline slicer, slice the potatoes thinly and evenly. You can also use a mandoline if you want to. This ensures even cooking and a harmonious flavor distribution, then wash them once in the water and squeeze the water out thoroughly.
  • Then add salt, pepper, cumin powder, chaat masala powder, garlic ginger paste, eggs, and cheese to the grated potatoes and mix everything well.
  • Place the potato mixture on a pizza tray lined with a baking sheet and press out to form a circle.
  • Now preheat the oven to 350°F / 180°C and bake for between 20 and 25 minutes until the crust is crispy without the toppings.
  • Once done remove the baked crust, add the pizza sauce and toppings we mentioned above or any of your choice. Place the ready-to-bake pizza back into the oven for another 10 minutes until the cheese has melted.
  • To make this pizza in a pan place a 28cm non-stick pan on the stove on medium-low heat and add 1.5 tbsp vegetable oil.
  • Once the oil is heated add the potato mixture to the pan and spread it evenly.
  • Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until set.
  • Now flip it over and cook the other side for 5 minutes with no lid (this makes both sides a little crispy)
  • Now flip it again and add all the toppings without the basil leaves (here you can use any toppings of your choice).
  • Cover and cook for 10 more minutes or until the cheese melts.
  • Finally, add the basil leaves and your potato crust pizza is ready to serve.

Notes

  • Make sure to squeeze the water out properly.
  • I have made a 28cm (11 inch) pizza but you can make any size of your choice by increasing or decreasing the amount of the potato and other ingredients.
