- 5 Large Egg Yolks
- 5 Tbsp / 60 g Sugar
- 8-10 Pieces Strawberries
- ½ Tsp / 3 ml Vanilla Essence Optional
- Dark Chocolate Shavings Optional
Prepare Strawberries
Take 8 to 10 pieces of strawberries on a cutting board and cut strawberries into quarters.
Then place them in a bowl and add a tablespoon of sugar to that, give it a good mix, and keep aside.
Sugar draws out water from strawberries and forms a sugary syrup, so this process makes the strawberries more juicy and glossy.
Make Zabaglione Base
Separate 5 large egg yolks in a heatproof bowl.
Add 4 tbsp sugar and 1/2 tsp vanilla essence to the yolks. Whisk the yolks and sugar together until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes a little creamy.
Place the bowl over a pan of simmering water, making sure that the water doesn't touch the bottom of the bowl.
Continue whisking for 6-7 minutes more until the mixture is thick, creamy, and almost tripled in volume.
Assemble Zabaglione
Assemble the dish by placing half of the prepared juicy strawberries in the bottom of the dish.
Then, pour the zabaglione and top it with some dark chocolate shavings or any other toppings of your choice.
